Silver Mountain and Palmyra Peaks.  Surrounded by National Forest on a remote site next
to one of the three pristine Alta Lakes. The Observatory is adjacent to the Telluride Ski Area
and is accessible by Snowmobile, Cross-Country Skiis, Snowshoe, Telluride Ski Area
Back-country gate ONLY/

In the Summer, this spectacular setting is 8 miles from Telluride by state highway 145 and 5
miles up an unimproved mountain road (OK for 2 wheel drive vehicles with good clearance
in the summer).
